Topgolf Sr Game Designer in San Francisco, California

Overview

As a Sr. Game Designer, you will be responsible for the principles, ideas, and motivations behind our game systems and content. You will work closely with the rest of the Design team and leadership to solve creative problems and deliver engaging systems that our players will love.

Responsibilities

  • Design new game systems and features

  • Lead implementation of features in the game as a feature owner

  • Operate in a collaborative environment with other developers to create the highest possible quality product

  • Create and maintain design specs for game systems and features

  • Be an expert in the field of design, sharing knowledge and process with team

  • Mentor junior designers, leading by example

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on game design experience

  • 3+ years of shipped games in a design role

  • 2+ years of F2P mobile games experience from concept to live operations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong understanding of F2P (free to play) game systems

  • Experience with Unity or similar game engine technology

  • Effective decision making capabilities

  • Experience with Agile development practices
