Topgolf Associate Director of Hospitality Sales in Las Vegas, Nevada


The Associate Director of Hospitality Sales (ADOHS) assists the Director of Sales (DOS) with leading the Hospitality Sales Team to sell events for small groups (6-16 attendees) within approved booking timeframes. They will also aide in the collaboration with the Operations and Culinary teams to ensure flawless event execution. The ADOHS is responsible for overseeing the experience of Topgolf Las Vegas from the start of the initial event request through execution. The ADOHS is also expected hold the team accountable for fostering new client opportunities via outbound efforts and networking in the community to drive sales. The ADOHS will spend 50% of their time in the sales office coaching and mentoring the Hospitality Sales team. The other 50% of their time will be spend working floor shifts.

Topgolf participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist DOS to Recruit, Hire, Train, Mentor and Coach Sales Account Representatives/Hospitality Sales Consultants, and Podium team to exceed the quarterly and annual team sales goals set for the Topgolf site

  • Works in tandem with Operations Team to ensure flawless execution for ALL events. This includes all communication on any changes/updates to events and any specific needs for a successful event based on the guest’s expectations.

  • Hold sales team accountable to communicating any changes/updates to events and any specific needs for a successful event execution

  • Proactively engage in outbound sales activity and networking in the community in adherence to established business development expectations for the venue in an effort to grow sales revenues for events

  • Foster client relationships through ongoing communication with contacts to ensure repeat business and referrals

  • Strive to deliver an unparalleled guest experience on the phone, via email and with in-person communication from inquiry stage to post-event follow up

  • Work with DOS to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) using reports and dashboards to ensure all team members are meeting or exceeding established standards and targets

  • Assist DOS with leading weekly sales team meetings

  • Assist DOS with creation and implementation of sales contests focused on driving revenues as well as desired behaviors by Sales Associates that promote a continual improvement

  • Partner with DOS to foster a fun, competitive, results centered and engaged sales culture/environment

  • Manage Sales Associate's weekly schedule in accordance with approved sales office hours coverage

  • Conduct and document bi-weekly 1-on-1’s with Sales Account Representatives/Hospitality Sales Consultants

  • Maintain a presence in Guest Areas (approximately 50% of time during peak times (Wednesday-Sunday))

  • Participate in management team meetings and venue pre-shifts for Associates in accordance with Topgolf’s established Sales Team Standards

  • Hold team accountable for overall hospitality sales team revenue goals by meeting or exceeding sales quotas as assigned by DOS in advance on a monthly (period), quarterly and annual basis

  • Assist Sales Account Representatives/Hospitality Sales Consultants with questions related to their events and event prospects, while following all standards established by the DOS and Topgolf

  • Assist DOS with oversight of event closeout verification and daily reconciliation between POS and Delphi Sales revenues

  • Approve and issue refunds as needed in accordance with company standards

  • Be open and eager to learn new sales skills

  • Proactively strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency

  • Participate in bi-weekly 1-on-1’s with DOS

  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of current hospitality experience, preferable in night clubs, restaurant or entertainment venue focused on premium sales

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Sport Management, or Sales/Marketing preferred. Will also consider applicants with relevant work history

  • Ability to communicate effectively with new guests, return guests, co-workers and management

  • Strong computer skills, particularly with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM Application

  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs

  • Strong interpersonal and people skills as well as written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid organizational skillsets

  • Capable of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously, while remaining calm under pressure

  • Excellent pace and energy, self-motivated

  • Ability to maintain and project professionalism, internally and externally, at all times

  • Flexible in approach; can readily adapt to business and team needs and changes

  • Excellent self-accountability for high personal standards of conduct and professionalism

  • Process-oriented, highly organized, fast and accurate, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
