Topgolf Golf Instructor (Part-Time) in Huntsville, Alabama
Overview
The Golf Instructor role will instruct Topgolf Guests in golf skills in individual lessons or in groups, conduct youth academies, and provide instruction & guidance for large group events. The Golf Instructor will be responsible for hitting specific lesson booking/revenue targets & utilization goals on a recurring basis.
This position will be a part time role that is expected to work 15-25 hours per week, the majority of which will be spent teaching. Instructors that succeed in the role may be considered for full time instruction positions.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate, schedule and teach Guest lessons and classes
• Utilize swing analysis technology and learning theories, and integrate teaching aids in all programs
• Assist in the operation of Topgolf Kids Academies
• Serve as a golf professional for Topgolf Events and Tournaments
• Work with the events team to promote lessons at Topgolf events
• Walk the tee line to generate leads and bookings (when not engaged in golf instruction)
• Supervise information requests regarding or pertaining to scheduling of lessons and instructional series
• Perform club fittings & sell golf equipment to Topgolf Guests and Students
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1-2 years experience teaching golf lessons with experience coaching different levels of golfers
• PGA Membership a plus
• Proven track record of successful instruction
• Social and interpersonal skills required to interact with all Topgolf Guests
• Familiarity with swing analysis technology and launch monitor technology
• Ability to work on a team
• Energetic and enthusiastic
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time
• Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time including maneuvering up and down stairs
