Topgolf Sr Solutions Architect in Dallas Office, Texas

Overview

The purpose of the Senior Solutions Architect role is to apply a broad range of technical expertise to enable extraordinary outcomes. They do so by translating business needs into end to end technology solutions that span complex interdependent domains, accounting for reliability, efficiency, and reduction of risk. This expert is expected to undertake complex work in the e-commerce space, drive efforts across teams to meet commitments, and support the ongoing development of their teammates – potentially in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively to translate business needs into high-quality technology product deliverables

  • Design technical solutions for entire software project, including developing scalable and user-friendly products

  • Generates detailed documentation of the processes including results of product tests, data, flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, code comments

  • Motivating, advising, and mentoring software development team to create extraordinary outcomes

  • Systematically and proactively diagnose ongoing issues and roadblocks to growth, justifying investment in more strategic solutions that make our technology products and platforms significantly more efficient and effective

  • Function as the known architecture expert within a domain or product, regularly representing the organization in strategic product design across the business and creating previously unimagined technical opportunities

  • Perform developer testing, bug fixes, and solutions installs

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience required

  • 8+ years Large scale experience in software development, scripting, and project management

  • 4+ years Extensive experience in using system monitoring tools and automated testing frameworks

  • 4+ years Experience as an Architect and Designer, responsible for end to end solutions that span large, complex or multiple interdependent domains

  • 4+ years Programming languages such as Python, C++, Java/J2EE

  • 4+ years Comprehensive knowledge of databases

  • 4+ years Comprehensive knowledge of API methods

  • A passion for coaching people and teams on technical solutions through empathy and mentorship. This role can also potentially include recruitment, goal setting, and coaching for growth and performance. A thoughtful role model of our Topgolf Values and Mission

  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams (including matrixed team members and responsibility for the efforts of others), attention to detail, and organizational skills. Expertise in herding all variety of cats

  • Understanding of Software Architecture including various architectural techniques, styles, and enterprise design patterns

  • Communication expert with the ability to convey technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of audiences

  • Deep functional expertise, including multiple methodologies and tools, and ongoing awareness of evolution within the industry that breeds innovation across the team

  • Strong design skills and experience using multiple design tools. Ability to think outside of the box to design solutions that balance requirements, environment, and technology
