Topgolf National Memberships Director in Dallas Office, Texas

Overview

The National Memberships Director (NMD) is responsible for the sales and service strategy as it relates to all premium membership programs including Platinum Memberships and the VIP program. The NMD will partner with the Sales and Operations Leadership Teams in venue and at the corporate office to successfully lead all membership initiatives. Primary focuses will include continual improvement of product offerings, efficiencies with the membership CRM/POS platform, sales associate training, as well as identifying ways to provide memorable experiences for our members. The NMD will assist with membership team recruiting and offer on-going support and mentorship for all venues. The NMD is also responsible for cultivating and driving exposure for Topgolf on a national level to grow membership revenue throughout the country. In addition, the NMD will work closely with the Topgolf Media and the Partnerships team to provide excellent Guest service for Partnership Members and potential partner offerings to our entire Membership base.

This is a highly visible and complex role, since the candidate will be required to support and work with executives and users across the entire organization. The successful associate must be a passionate and a proactive visionary in developing strong team cultures. In addition, the candidate must be a strong leader, extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

How You’ll Do It

  • Track progress of all membership sales results and usage through data analysis including trend results and KPI’s

  • Actively monitor and communicate venue successes and challenges as well as suggested solutions to NDOS and other leadership team members to maximize revenues and ensure continuous program improvement

  • Explore new product offerings, member benefits and price promotions/strategies based on market trends as well as Associate and Guest feedback

  • Collaborate with Sales Training Team to develop improved Membership training curriculum for new and existing venues

  • Provide developmental leadership to all venue Platinum Sales Managers focused on continued new levels of skill and achievement

  • Lead calls with venue sales teams and establish best-in-class sales culture through mentorship and competitions

  • Foster relationships with venue sales and operations teams to ensure execution of excellent Guest service and key operational practices related to membership program deliverables

  • Partner with venue and corporate office leadership teams to develop the dedicated Membership Sales Associates as well as cross-train Sales Associates whose primary focus is selling Events

  • Assist with hiring process for each Platinum Sales Manager

  • Directly supervise the National Membership Sales Manager focused on cultivating national accounts with multiple memberships across the country

  • Engage in forums such as Workplace, DOS Weekly Calls, PSM Calls, Team Lead & Venue Tier Calls, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 4+ years Topgolf Membership Sales or related experience with high performance required

  • 5+ years of Management experience

  • Undergraduate degree preferred; will also consider applicants with relevant work history

  • Strong leader, extremely well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage projects with multiple tracks as a high-energy leader

  • Ability to develop clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies

  • Some business analysis experience (including implementation, tracking, problem resolution and reporting) preferred

  • A successful track record of working with managers and executives at high levels in the organization, as well as staff users

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with public speaking

  • Excellent presentation skills, time management and organization skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical capabilities, and collaboration skills

  • Must have attention to detail, a commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused

  • Meeting management and group process facilitation skills are required
