Topgolf HR Compliance Manager in Dallas Office, Texas

Overview

This position is responsible for implementing the systems and processes that ensure compliance to all state and federal employment laws, legal standards and in-house policies and procedures. This position partners heavily with HR business partners, operations and department leaders to monitor the compliance landscape, advise on remedies to meet standards and instill accountability in attaining compliance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance health checks / audits on a regular cadence to identify and remedy hidden risks or non-conformity issues. Collaborate with key stakeholders to inform of risk and action plans to mitigate risk.

  • Manage the I-9 / E-verify / EEO-1 employment compliance programs. Prepare monthly and quarterly reports that illuminate compliance adherence across multiple locations to proactively address opportunities.

  • Partner with internal and external counsel as well as the People Partner team on all evidentiary information for employment lawsuits and state and federal agency complaints (EEOC, DFEH, DOL, etc.)

  • Partner with the Training team to develop, implement and track compliance training completions to drive the right processes and behaviors throughout the organization.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of any policies or procedures that exist (or need to exist) within the Associate Handbook or ancillary documents to outline expected behaviors or processes.

  • Manage unemployment, verification of employment, and document retention practices to adequately address claims for state or other governmental agencies

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Criminal Justice, Finance, Business, HR Required

  • 8+ years HR / HR compliance experience

  • 5+ years Conducting compliance audits / reporting (I-9, EEO, ADA, etc.)

  • 5+ Managing compliance programs and processes across a multi-unit organization

  • 2+ Managing employee/s or teams

  • Knowledge of regulatory developments at the local, state and federal level

  • Knowledge of employment law / regulations across multiple states (ADA, EEOC, DFEH, etc.)

  • Knowledge of California law

  • International employment law (preferred)

  • The ability to influence stakeholders on addressing compliance issues and drive accountability to mitigate risk

  • Proficieny in Microsoft Office programs, emphasis in excel for any reporting / data manipulation needs

  • Organizational skills around document and report management

  • Written communication skills for reporting and policy writing and verbal for stakeholder management and influence
