Topgolf Financial Reporting Manager in Dallas Office, Texas


Topgolf is seeking a super talented and highly motivated Financial Reporting Manager for our finance team. The main purpose of this role is to lead the preparation and ensure compliance with external reporting requirements. This will include working closely with the broader finance team to gather required information in an organized manner. You will personally prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end external reporting ensuring timely and accurate delivery. And, you will research technical accounting issues and provide guidance to the team on how to record transactions appropriately. On top of that, there will be lots of opportunities to work on special projects within Accounting, Finance, and Tax. We are looking for someone who knows their stuff well enough to work with fairly minimal oversight and can work well with teams.

Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end external financial reporting

  • Ensure compliance with accounting and disclosure standards

  • Lead annual audit in coordination with external auditors

  • Research, document and implement technical accounting standards

  • Assist with quarterly and year-end internal reporting requirements


  • Information Monitoring : Setting up ongoing procedures to collect and review information needed to manage an organization or ongoing activities within it

  • Work Standards : Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed

  • Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills : Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise

  • Analytical Proficiency : Leveraging extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods, including general and multivariate statistics, to identify, organize, interpret, and report data needed by senior organizational decision makers to achieve favorable business outcomes

  • Emotional Intelligence : Leveraging high levels of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management, capacity to manage behavior, navigate social complexities and make personal decisions to achieve positive results

Key Qualifications

  • CPA required with at least 6 years of relevant experience

  • Experience working with SEC registrants required

  • Public accounting experience required

  • Experience in the Technology, Retail or Media industries is preferred, but not required

  • In-depth understanding of GAAP and the ability to research, document and implement technical accounting conclusions

  • In-depth knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and disclosures

  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to success

  • Ability to work with multiple software systems, experience with Workiva preferred

  • Ability to maintain and refine proper levels of internal controls

  • Communicate effectively with management, coworkers and external auditors

  • Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple simultaneous projects  Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and projects

  • An advanced understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word and Excel is required
