Topgolf Director, Technology Delivery in Dallas Office, Texas

Overview

The purpose of the Director role is to lead all programs and staff aligned to deliver on the strategic objectives for one of our Technology teams. This individual will directly manage one of the Technology functions responsible to evaluate, design, procure, deliver and install hardware and related infrastructure to new venues under construction - as well as technology renovations, capital improvements, and other repair and maintenance at existing venues as required. This leader will be accountable for planning, budgeting, scheduling, resourcing, training, performance, and culture – within the team but also as key function of the broader Topgolf Technology team.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling, resource management and execution of the New Venue Opening Technology deployments

  • Relationship management between Technology Innovation, Operations, Construction, and vendor partners with respect to delivery of new venue opening efforts.

  • Oversight of development and refinement of the New Venue Opening playbook used by PMs to execute delivery of technology aspects of venue builds.

  • Management of third-party tasks and activities in support of new venue builds.

  • Oversee technology component procurement for new venue builds inclusive of contract/pricing negotiations, scheduling procurement based on vendor lead times and financial allocations with FP&A and construction.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee financial aspects of vendor relationships, including payment term negotiations, cost analysis, vendor performance evaluation, value optimization, alignment with budgetary goals, and long-term planning strategies to ensure production can pace with our growth.

  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, working closely with internal audit and compliance teams to maintain financial integrity and mitigate risks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, required

  • 8+ years’ in IT, across multiple disciplines, as well as significant exposure to other roles around the business

  • 5+ years Proven leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring a team of project management and technology professionals

  • 3+ years Executive / Leadership stakeholder communication & management

  • 3+ years Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software, such as Excel, financial modeling software, and enterprise financial planning systems

  • 3+ years Knowledge of technology industry dynamics, trends, and financial best practices

  • 3+ years IT cost management principles, vendor management, and contract negotiation

  • 3+ years Experience with project management scheduling software

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic organization

  • Leadership, conflict management, and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in process assessment and development

  • Proficient ability to establish credibility with technology leaders and stakeholders and become a trusted partner

  • Excellent communications skills, communicating complex financial information in layman’s terms, both verbal and written to a wide range of end-user skill levels

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

  • Proficient track record of leading high-performance teams

  • Ability to decompose processes, identify friction points and craft continuous improvement strategies

Travel up to 60% - Venue and office visits as needed for performance of role
