Topgolf Director, Accounts Payable in Dallas Office, Texas
Overview
This role is the key point of contact for both external and internal stakeholders to address any accounts payable concerns or issues in a timely manner. In particular, the incumbent will ensure that the AP team integrates seamlessly with the procurement and supply chain organizations to support management of expense, vendor set-up, invoice processing, disbursements as well as performance monitoring. This role will be the face of the AP team and must demonstrate a high degree of customer orientation to meet the needs of various stakeholders. This will include working closely with the venue operations team, procurement, vendors and other internal teams to make sure policies and procedures are being followed.
Responsibilities
Lead the department and actively manage development and supervision of team to meet deadlines, achieve Company goals and ensure compliance.
Communicate effectively with vendors and internal customers including responding to inquiries, data, and reporting requests. Research and resolve vendor issues timely.
Develop and maintain a documented system of AP policies, procedures and SOX/Internal controls. Avoid SOX failures and remediate timely any deficiencies. and SOX controls related to AP.
Ensure accurate and timely close of AP books and accruals related to financial close
Provide support to venues by ensuring timely and adequate response to their queries
Coordinate with Internal/External auditors to ensure audit issues are resolved timely
Comply with all local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Champion automation and drive simplicity. Participate in special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required
CPA Certification, required
7+ years Must have led the Accounts Payable function in a multi state, multi location and public traded company
7+ years Must have supervised and led from both transactional processing and managerial review perspective
7+ years Create, track and report on all KPI’s/Metrics related to AP
5+ years Experience working with large systems like SAP and COUPA
6+ years Handled vendor set-up, Invoice processing and disbursements for large volume of vendor invoices, running into multi-million dollars
5+ years Restaurant / Entertainment / F&B Experience
5+ years Shared Services Experience
Must have high degree of integrity, reliability, sense of urgency, decisiveness and professionalism
Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever changing business questions and needs
Must be collaborative, innovative, analytical and have a strong commitment to excellence, continued learning and development talent
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in order to professionally communicate. Effectively manage recruitment, retention, training & development of staff
High energy and enthusiasm, with a strong commitment to exceeding expectations
Must have strong leadership, management, team building, and problem-solving skills. Strong track record of building and motivating cross-functional teams
Must be team oriented, able to fulfill and adapt to requests of our internal and external clients
Very good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Word, Excel, Access
Travel up to 10% - To Venues or other offices.
