Topgolf Senior Salesforce Technical Architect in Dallas, Texas
Topgolf is looking for a Senior Technical Architect to provide Architecture and Design thought to leadership and guidance to complex Salesforce CPQ implementations. The candidate will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders (business partners, delivery leads, scrum masters and technical peers) to ensure that maximum value is delivered to the business and the platform is robust. The candidate must be hands on and demonstrate progressive technical leadership in the full life cycle of the software development in Agile delivery environment. Additionally, the role will be critical to build internal knowledge of the technical solution being built and maintain salesforce platform continuity as our implementation partner resources roll off.
Design, maintain and ensure the integrity and consistency of Salesforce application architectures and scalable technology solutions which enable business growth and technology agility.
A hands-on Salesforce architect who owns the design of all facets of the domain architecture from concept through to implementation.
Provide solutions which are scalable, efficient, practical, cost-effective and meet or exceed both current and future business demands.
Partnerships with Business and Technology stakeholders throughout the organization for effective collaboration
Design and implement Salesforce CPQ solutions, incorporating MDQ, attribute-based pricing, Discount Schedules, Advanced Approvals, and Price/Product Rule functionality.
Customize and extend Salesforce CPQ functionality using Apex, Visualforce, LWC and JS other development tools to support requirements.
Integrate Salesforce CPQ with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless data flow for configured quote-to-order scenarios.
Provide technical expertise and support to resolve issues related to CPQ implementation, with a focus on pricing, approval, and calculation configurations and debugging.
Ability to design scalable enterprise solutions and write technical specifications and non-functional requirements for other team members and/or development partners.
Undertake analysis of technology solution options, considering current & future technology capabilities, application roadmaps and architectural standards.
Collaborate effectively with internal and 3rd-party teams to govern solution construction and guide overall technical implementation.
Create architectural documentation detailing solutions as reference for other platform team members and partners.
Translate functional business needs into efficient, well-architected and scalable solutions which leverage appropriate technology toolsets. Solicit and obtain agreement from IT and Business Leadership on architectural design recommendations
Work with Development teams to perform design reviews of in-progress builds, ensuring development work aligns with agreed functional requirements, approved technical designs and applicable coding standards.
Document current and future state process models
Partner with IT Enterprise Architecture to ensure understanding of, and adherence to, corporate policies and accepted architectural standards in areas of security, integration, data, privacy, and compliance.
Be continuously abreast of new trends within Salesforce and associated technologies. Leverage this insight to envision new opportunities for business enablement and construct prototypes to demonstrate proposed solutions.
Possess excellent analytical and presentation skills and be able to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Be comfortable with rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work assignments.
Be a results-driven self-starter who takes initiative, solicits and listens to feedback from a variety of sources, and can work independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Information Technology / MIS or similar fields
Strong and effective written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
5-7+ years of experience in Salesforce design and development.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce application architecture, Lightning framework, governor limits, and development components such as Visual Force, SOQL, Apex Classes and Triggers, JQuery, APIs, Process Builder, Approval processes, etc.
Knowledge and experience working with the Salesforce platform as a Technical or Domain Architect. CPQ solution Specialist
Experience with SaaS architectures and design patterns including SOAP and REST API integrations.
Experience utilizing source control platforms and implementing efficient CI/CD frameworks supporting effective DevOps procedures.
Strong analytical skills: Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings, derive conclusions and present recommendations.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex concepts and information to diverse audiences.
Must be able to organize & prioritize a high volume of tasks with potentially conflicting demands and competing timelines.
Must be comfortable analyzing data, identifying trends and correcting data quality issues.
Active Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Application Architect, or Salesforce Certified System Architect
Must be flexible to engage on a wide spectrum of projects and exhibit capacity to quickly learn new skills & technologies when necessary.
Must possess an open mind to embrace new technologies, development techniques and project methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience defining data governance models/processes and implementing proper management frameworks.
Exposure to using Salesforce connectors.
Exposure to other cloud platforms like AWS /Azure etc.
Proven experience with enterprise-scale integration methodologies, platforms and techniques supporting data exchange to-and-from Salesforce.com.
Prior integration using the Mulesoft platform.
Experience using Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Heroku.
