Topgolf Product Owner - Payments in Dallas, Texas

Topgolf is looking for a seasoned product leader to drive the transformation of our point of sale payment solution, modernizing the experience and delivering value and efficiencies for both our internal team members (Playmakers) and our customers (Players). The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and prioritizing payment requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the development of seamless and efficient solutions.

  • Develop a compelling vision and strategy for payment solutions, aligning with the overall product and business goals.

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation in payment capabilities.

  • Create and manage a detailed backlog of payment features, enhancements, and user stories.

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for payment solutions, considering market dynamics and business priorities.

  • Continuously evaluate and adjust the roadmap based on customer feedback, market trends, and competitive analysis.

  • Define clear and detailed user stories with acceptance criteria for development teams, ensuring the successful implementation of payment features.

  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and security standards related to payment processing.

  • Experience with linking a customer identity via payment cards & loyalty programs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, internal teams, and financial partners, to gather and prioritize payment-related requirements.

  • Work closely with development teams, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of payment requirements.

  • Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives

  • Collaborate with QA teams to conduct thorough testing and validation of payment-related functionalities.

  • Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure the development and maintenance of secure and compliant payment solutions. Ensure that customer card data is securely encrypted at the point of collection and is not present in our solution environment. Participate in PCI compliance assessments as a subject matter expert.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years as an innovative technology product owner in high growth, fast-paced industries required

  • 5+ years experience implementing semi-integrated, end to end encrypted, EMV & contactless payment solutions in a restaurant or retail environment is required

  • Demonstrated leadership of digital transformation in hospitality industry required

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Sound judgment, decision-making and organizational savvy

  • Possess a desire to build great technology teams and develop others

  • Experience implementing mobile payments via QR codes or other contactless methods is preferred

  • Experience implementing Apple VAS & Google SmartTap, or other mobile loyalty platforms, is preferred

  • Passion for golf highly preferred!

Travel up to 5% - Travel to venues.
